2 Person Exhibition with Painter Jean Gray Mohs at Georgia Southern University.
This series of ceramic sculptures explores the idea of structures, in material and concept. I am interested in how we measure our experiences.
I make drawings with clay to serve as my vocabulary to describe the psychological structures we build to contain, store and recall the memories, experiences and interactions that make life meaningful.
I seek connections between life experiences and the visual characteristics that structure our perception of the world around us.
My clay drawings allow me to translate an intangible psychological experience with an inherently tangible material-clay.
This past year I transitioned into a new community after moving from Georgia to Philadelphia.
This work represents my desire to understand and record how the structures of my relationships and identity have changed through this life experience.
